Corporate History

WHG Franchisor, LLC was formed on December 14, 2016. It is a subsidiary of Wyndham Hotel Group, LLC, which is wholly owned by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (WHR). Effective March 29, 2024, Wyndham Hotel Group acquired the exclusive worldwide right to franchise the WaterWalk System from WaterWalk Holding Co, LLC (WWH). WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham's franchise agreement states that neither party has renewal rights. However, if the franchisor and franchisee mutually agree to renew, the franchisee must sign the then-current franchise agreement (which may have materially different terms and conditions), complete a property improvement plan, execute a general release, and pay a standard renewal fee, if applicable.

WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham provides extensive assistance to its franchisees. Before opening, the franchisor assists with site selection approval, creates a Property Improvement Plan (PIP) for conversion facilities, reviews architectural plans for new construction, conducts construction and renovation inspections, and provides access to the System Standards Manual and Approved Supplier information. Mandatory support services include general manager certification, opening training, digital photography, and continuing education. The franchisor also provides information and recommended provisions for the Residential System for unfurnished units. After opening, franchisees receive ongoing access to the Standards of Operation and Design Manual, and may attend Chain conferences every 18-24 months. The franchisor conducts announced and unannounced inspections, offers operational support via email, telephone, and an online platform, including periodic field visits. Franchisees have access to a proprietary online platform for brand-specific information and tools. WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham also provides a computerized Central Reservation System (CRS) for furnished units, a mandatory call handling service, and optional revenue management programs (Standard, Premium, Premium Plus RMS). Other support includes a customer experience software platform to aggregate reviews, an optional Remote Sales Service, and a designated guest engagement platform (Wyndham Connect). Territory Size Requirements

WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham does not offer an exclusive territory. The standard Franchise Agreement does not provide a protected territory, and there is no minimum protected territory offered. Franchisees may face competition from other WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham facilities, other Wyndham brands, and other lodging facilities operated by the franchisor's affiliates, even if they are adjacent or proximate to the franchisee's location. While the franchisor may, in its discretion, agree to some measure of territorial protection for a defined area (e.g., a radius from the facility, an area bounded by streets or natural boundaries, or by latitude and longitude), this is not a standard offering and is subject to negotiation based on factors like market characteristics and demand generators. Such protection would not include competition from other brands owned, managed, or franchised by the franchisor or its affiliates.
