UBuildIt franchisees must give notice of their election to renew, sign a new franchise agreement, pay a renewal fee, fully comply with the existing agreement, and meet the current standards for new franchisees. UBuildIt provides franchisees with assistance both before and after opening. Before opening, UBuildIt approves the franchisee's location, shares selling and operational methods, specifies approved goods and services, and provides initial training through an online portal and a week of in-person training at headquarters. Franchisees also receive a confidential Standards Operations Manual. After opening, UBuildIt continues to consult with franchisees on policies, sales, and marketing, and offers ongoing advice and guidance. UBuildIt also provides updated Standards Operations Manuals, reviews franchisee advertising, offers additional online training, and organizes an annual National Convention and training event which the operating manager must attend.

Ongoing Support
UBuildIt provides franchisees with continuous consultation on policies, sales, marketing, and supplies, along with ongoing advice, guidance, and support. Franchisees receive updated Standards Operations Manuals and their advertising materials are reviewed and approved. Online training is available, and the operating manager must attend an annual National Convention and training event. The Technology Fee also covers various support services including access to the "Planning Starts" client management software, national social media campaigns, website development and maintenance, technical support, national marketing, public relations, vendor management, a Knowledge Center library, online training videos, form contracts, vendor screening, recommendations for promotional items, monthly newsletters, and advice from corporate staff.

UBuildIt assigns an exclusive territory defined by standard geographical boundaries, typically county lines, with an expected population size ranging from a minimum of 300,000 up to 500,000 people. This population is determined using the most recent United States Census Bureau Statistical Abstract.
Staffing Notes
UBuildIt requires franchisees to either be or employ a qualified Construction Consultant before opening. This consultant must have experience in residential construction and be located in the local area. The franchisee or an approved Operating Manager must participate personally in and supervise the business daily. If the franchisee is an entity, the Operating Manager and all equity owners must personally guarantee the Franchise Agreement. If the franchisee is not acting as the Construction Consultant, they must maintain a staff that includes a qualified consultant at all times.
