Corporate History
The concept behind Born From The Lime Truck originated in Southern California in June 2010 when its founder, Daniel Shemtob, began offering high-quality, freshly prepared menu items from a mobile food truck called 'The Lime Truck.' In 2021, the mobile food truck rebranded to 'Born From The Lime Truck.' The franchisor, Born From The Lime Truck, LLC, was organized as a Delaware limited liability company on April 15, 2021, and began offering franchises in 2022. The company's founder, Daniel Shemtob, has continuously operated a Food Truck since 2010 through an affiliate, but the franchisor itself has never directly owned and operated a Food Truck.

Territory Size Requirements
Born From The Lime Truck defines franchisee territories in one of two ways. If the population within a 25-mile radius of the franchisee's commissary exceeds 100,000, the territory will include a minimum population of 100,000, with boundaries set by the franchisor (e.g., by radius, area codes, municipal boundaries, streets, or polygons). If the population within a 25-mile radius from the commissary is less than 100,000, the territory will encompass the geographic area within that entire 25-mile radius from the commissary. These territory definitions are based on the commissary's location and population statistics at the time the territory is determined and will not change due to population shifts or commissary relocation during the franchise term.
Staffing Notes
Born From The Lime Truck requires franchisees to determine appropriate staffing levels for their Food Truck to ensure full compliance with the franchise agreement and system standards. Franchisees are responsible for hiring, training, and supervising their employees, including all wages, benefits, and taxes. Employees are considered solely the franchisee's employees, not the franchisor's, and franchisees must make this clear through employee communications and legal entity names on employment documents. A Managing Owner or a trained manager must be present at the Food Truck during all normal business hours to provide onsite management and supervision. Managers are required to have at least two years of experience in the restaurant or food truck industry and must sign a Brand Protection Agreement.
