The Dentist's Choice defines its Exclusive Territories based on a minimum of 400 dentists located within a specific geographic area. The company uses information from Direct Dental Lists to determine the number of dentists. Territories are sized according to population density, meaning densely populated areas will have smaller geographic territories compared to less densely populated areas, to ensure the target number of dentists is met.

Staffing Notes

The Dentist's Choice operates with a flexible staffing model, with approximately 90% of franchisees choosing to be sole operators working from home without any employees. For those who do hire staff, the initial training program accommodates up to two people, including the franchisee (or principal owner) and one employee. The franchisee or an approved full-time manager is required to participate personally in the business's day-to-day operation. Employees who complete the initial training program must sign a confidentiality covenant.
