Franchise Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
Tabla Indian Cuisine requires franchisees, or their designated Managing Owner if a corporate entity, to be personally responsible for the management and overall supervision of the restaurant. This Managing Owner must complete the initial training program and be approved by Tabla Indian Cuisine. Although hands-on, day-to-day participation is recommended, franchisees may hire an approved Operating Manager to supervise on-site operations, provided the manager meets minimum standards, completes training, and signs a confidentiality agreement. For fine dining concepts, one person attending training must have Line Chef or Prep Chef experience.

Territory Size Requirements
Tabla Indian Cuisine designates territories based on whether the franchisee is operating a fast-casual or fine dining concept. For a fast-casual restaurant, the territory will generally be the smaller of a 5-mile radius from the location or an area with a population of 50,000 people. For a fine dining restaurant, the territory will generally be the smaller of a 25-mile radius from the location or an area with a population of 250,000 people. Territories may also be defined by zip code, streets, highways, county lines, or as physical boundaries within non-traditional locations like malls or airports.
Staffing Notes
Tabla Indian Cuisine requires that each restaurant be managed and supervised on-site by either a Managing Owner or an approved Operating Manager. If a franchisee operates multiple restaurants, each must have an Operating Manager present. Franchisees are responsible for hiring and training their own employees, ensuring they wear approved uniforms and adhere to System standards for food preparation and service. There are no direct staffing requirements provided for specific roles or numbers of employees beyond management.
