Staffing Notes
Skyhawks Franchises must be managed by the franchisee, or if the franchisee is an entity, by a managing owner who is a natural person with at least a 51% ownership interest and voting power in the entity. The franchisor also permits the appointment of a designated manager to run the day-to-day operations. Both the managing owner and any designated manager must successfully complete the franchisor's Initial Training Program. If a managing owner or designated manager is replaced, the new individual must also complete this training at the franchisee's expense. All Skyhawks Programs must be staffed with Skyhawks certified directors and coaches. Directors serve as the on-site supervisor for each program, while coaches work individually with participants to teach, encourage, and challenge them. All directors and coaches must successfully complete the certified coach training program before conducting any Skyhawks Program. Franchisees are solely responsible for hiring, training, directing, scheduling, supervising, and disciplining their employees and independent contractors, and for complying with all workplace laws, including wage and hour requirements. The franchisor does not have the power to hire or fire the franchisee's employees.
