Renewal Conditions
To renew their Salons by JC franchise, franchisees must be in compliance with their Franchise Agreement, provide 180 days prior written notice, sign the then-current form of Franchise Agreement and related agreements, execute a general release, pay a renewal fee, remodel and upgrade their business to meet current brand standards, secure the legal right to occupy their business location, and meet all other renewal requirements. Owners must also comply with their agreements and personally guarantee the renewal Franchise Agreement, which may have materially different terms.

Salons by JC assists franchisees with pre-opening obligations by granting the franchise right, defining the designated territory, providing access to confidential manuals, reviewing and approving the chosen site, and offering lists of approved suppliers and signage/equipment. Before opening, the managing owner and up to two designated managers must complete a three-day initial training program in San Antonio, Texas. Post-opening, Salons by JC may require supplemental on-site training (for an additional fee) and ongoing training for replacement managers. The franchisor also establishes and communicates operating standards, marketing guidelines, and approved vendors. Salons by JC may administer a brand development fund and organize an annual system conference, with mandatory attendance for franchisees.

Territory Size Requirements
Salons by JC typically grants a designated territory of two miles from the business location in all directions travelable by road. This size may be smaller depending on population density, demographics, and geographical boundaries. In major metropolitan downtown areas or central business districts, the territory is generally less than two miles.
Staffing Notes
Salons by JC franchisees are solely responsible for managing and supervising their employees. The franchise requires that all employees wear approved branded uniforms and ensure that all System Supplies and Approved Products and Services are prepared and maintained according to System standards. The Managing Owner is personally responsible for the management and overall supervision of the business. While hands-on participation is recommended, franchisees may hire an Operating Manager to handle day-to-day on-site operations, provided the manager meets minimum standards, completes initial training, and signs confidentiality agreements.
