To renew their franchise agreement, Resting Rainbow franchisees must provide written notice of their desire to renew 6 to 12 months before the agreement expires. They must be in good standing, without default, have a good record of customer service, and no adversarial legal proceedings with Resting Rainbow. Franchisees will need to sign Resting Rainbow's then-current franchise agreement, pay a $10,000 renewal fee, and sign a general release of claims. Additionally, they must meet current training requirements, demonstrate the right to remain at their approved location, remodel and update their vehicles and premises to current brand standards, and upgrade their computer systems.

Before opening, Resting Rainbow provides franchisees with training for up to two people, access to the Operations Manual, a Franchisee Portal for communication and reporting, and information to acquire designated software. Resting Rainbow also offers specifications for fixtures, furnishings, equipment, and signage, and may assist with creating a pre-opening and grand opening marketing plan. Additionally, Resting Rainbow offers opening support and assistance. After opening, Resting Rainbow continues to provide support by making additional required and optional training programs available, developing and maintaining Brand Standards, managing the Franchisee Portal, and notifying franchisees of specifications and approved vendors. Resting Rainbow manages its Brand Standards Assessment program (including mystery shopper reports), administers the Brand Fund, reviews advertising plans, manages social media accounts that promote the brand, monitors the customer warranty/satisfaction guarantee program, and manages Key Account contracts.

Resting Rainbow franchisees receive a Protected Territory, typically consisting of approximately 150,000 households, defined using postal zip codes. Franchisees can purchase additional households to expand their Protected Territory, up to a maximum of 750,000 households surrounding their RR Production Center.
Staffing Notes
Resting Rainbow requires franchisees to designate an Operating Principal responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the business. For entity franchisees, the Operating Principal must be the majority owner for the first year. A Key Manager, if applicable, must also be designated for direct on-premises supervision. Both the Operating Principal and Key Manager must complete Resting Rainbow's training program and work on premises. Franchisees are solely responsible for all employment decisions, including maintaining proper staffing to meet Brand Standards, and must clearly inform all workers that they are the employer, not Resting Rainbow.
