Territory Size Requirements

Renegade Insurance Franchising LLC grants franchisees a non-exclusive territory defined by a single state where the franchisee is licensed to sell insurance. If a franchisee wishes to operate in a second state, they typically need to enter into an additional Franchise Agreement, unless the franchisor approves operating a single Renegade Insurance Business in two states from one location. Franchisees must operate their business from an approved site within their designated state, though the franchisor may waive the office requirement for franchisees with an existing book of business, allowing them to operate from a home office if legally permitted.

Staffing Notes

Renegade Insurance Franchising LLC requires franchisees to determine appropriate staffing levels for their Renegade Insurance Business to ensure full compliance with the Franchise Agreement and System standards. Franchisees are solely responsible for hiring, training, directing, scheduling, and supervising their employees or independent contractors for daily operations, including ensuring all employees who sell insurance are properly licensed in their state. Franchisees are responsible for all wages, commissions, fringe benefits, and payroll taxes, and all personnel are considered the franchisee's own employees or contractors, not the franchisor's. Franchisees must use their legal business entity name (not the franchisor's Marks) on all employee-related documentation. They must also inform employees and independent contractors that they are the sole employer/contractor and post a conspicuous notice to this effect. The franchisor does not offer advice or guidance on these employment matters. Renegade Insurance Franchising LLC may require employees and independent contractors to sign a System Protection Agreement or Confidentiality Agreement.
