Ideal Candidate Profile
RealClean Aircraft Detailing looks for individuals who will serve as an 'Operating Principal' and own at least 20% of the franchisee entity. This Operating Principal must have authority over all business decisions and the power to bind the franchisee in dealings with the franchisor. While the Operating Principal oversees all business matters, they are not required to have day-to-day operational involvement. Franchisees must also appoint a Manager and a Lead Detailer for daily operations; the Operating Principal may fill one of these roles if they have sufficient experience. All Operating Principals must complete the initial training program and any future post-opening training.

Territory Size Requirements
RealClean Aircraft Detailing offers two territory tiers. A Tier 1 Territory includes up to 400 registered aircraft and up to 25 aviation-related businesses. A Tier 2 Territory is smaller, with up to 300 registered aircraft and up to 15 aviation-related businesses. The franchisor designates these territories using zip codes or other geographic identifiers, relying on AMSTAT and AIRPAC software for data. Franchisees may purchase additional registered aircraft or aviation-related businesses within their territory for an extra fee, not exceeding $10,000 per territory.
Staffing Notes
RealClean Aircraft Detailing requires each franchisee to appoint an Operating Principal, who must own at least a 20% interest in the business and oversee all business decisions, although day-to-day operational involvement is not mandatory. Franchisees must also appoint a Manager and a Lead Detailer to handle the daily operations. The Operating Principal can serve as either the Manager or Lead Detailer, but not both, provided they have adequate experience. Franchisees are responsible for hiring additional employees to perform the detailing services, ensuring they meet demand and adhere to brand standards. The franchisor provides suggested staffing levels and hiring guidelines, but franchisees are solely responsible for all employment decisions and costs, including wages and taxes, which vary by location. The FDD notes that each service requires qualified personnel with applicable experience and knowledge.
