Ongoing Support
After opening, Primp and Blow franchisees receive ongoing guidance and assistance from the franchisor in several areas, including authorized products and services, purchasing approved equipment and supplies, and developing local advertising programs. Primp and Blow provides administrative, recordkeeping, inventory control, and general operating and management procedures guidance, excluding employment or personal security matters. The franchisor also assists with establishing and conducting employee training programs at the location and communicates any changes to system standards. Franchisees have continuous electronic access to the Operations Manual and use of Primp and Blow's trademarks and confidential information. The franchisor conducts inspections and audits of the location as deemed advisable and may provide additional, ongoing, and supplemental training programs, some of which may be mandatory. Upon request, Primp and Blow may provide an employee for on-site store assistance, for which the franchisee pays a daily fee plus expenses.
Franchise Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
Primp and Blow seeks individuals or legal entities that are willing to undertake the significant investment and dedicated effort required to own and operate a beauty salon specializing in blow dry, hair styling, make-up, tanning, and other cosmetology services. For business organizations, a Principal Operator owning at least 25% of the outstanding voting equity must be designated, with full authority over operational, marketing, and staffing decisions. Additionally, the franchisee (or an approved General Manager) must commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week of on-site management, having successfully completed the initial training program. While not strictly required, an ownership interest for the General Manager is seen as beneficial for performance. Primp and Blow looks for candidates who understand the inherent business risks, possess the professional and financial capabilities to comply with the brand's high standards of quality, consistency, appearance, and service, and are not seeking the franchise for speculative purposes. They should be prepared to operate the business in strict conformity with the Primp and Blow System.

Territory Size Requirements
Primp and Blow typically defines its franchise territories as an exclusive circular area with a 3-mile radius around the front door of the franchise location. In densely populated areas (more than 5,000 persons per square mile), the franchisor may, at its discretion, define a non-circular territory intended to include a population of at least 25,000 people. In some smaller cities, Primp and Blow may opt to award only a single franchise for the entire city.
Staffing Notes
Primp and Blow requires that at all times after opening, there must be at least two individuals who have successfully completed the franchisor's initial training course, known as 'Trained Managers,' available for full-time management of the salon. One of these Trained Managers must serve as the General Manager, overseeing the salon's operations. This General Manager is required to dedicate a minimum of 40 hours per week to on-site management. Franchisees are responsible for ensuring that all personnel are qualified, properly trained, groomed, attired, and licensed according to requirements. Replacement Salon managers must complete the franchisor's initial training program before beginning employment in that role. Franchisees are prohibited from recruiting or hiring employees from other Primp and Blow locations or the franchisor without written consent, with significant penalties for violations. Each Trained Manager must also sign a Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreement as a condition of employment.
