Renewal Conditions
To renew their franchise agreement, PaintEZ® franchisees must provide written notice between 3 to 6 months before the initial term expires. They must have faithfully performed all obligations under the initial agreement, refurbish the franchise and replace any obsolete equipment, sign a general release, execute PaintEZ®'s then-current franchise agreement, and pay a $5,000 renewal fee.
Training & Support Program
Franchisor Assistance
PaintEZ® provides comprehensive support to its franchisees. Before opening, PaintEZ® designates the territory, offers general specifications for layout and equipment, and provides an initial 13-day training program (8 days at corporate headquarters and 5 days on-site at the franchisee's location). Franchisees also receive lists of approved suppliers and product specifications, some general opening assistance, a grand opening marketing plan with access to online materials, and electronic access to the confidential operations manual. During ongoing operations, PaintEZ® establishes and updates policies and procedures, replaces defective products purchased directly from them, administers the Brand Development Fund for national and regional advertising, and conducts inspections to ensure quality. PaintEZ® also provides call center services to help manage customer calls. Optional assistance includes an annual convention (mandatory attendance), additional training for a fee, and refresher training programs.
