To renew their franchise agreement, MOSQUITO SHIELD franchisees must provide written notice of their intent to renew 8 to 12 months before the current term ends. They must also renovate or modernize the business premises, including purchasing or modifying vehicles and signs to meet current system standards. Franchisees must not be in default of any agreements, have satisfied all financial obligations to the franchisor and its affiliates, and met minimum gross revenue requirements for the fifth year. They will need to demonstrate the right to possess their premises for the renewal term or get approval for a new location, comply with current qualification and training requirements, and sign the franchisor's then-current franchise agreement (which may have materially different terms and increased fees). Territory Size Requirements
MOSQUITO SHIELD defines a typical exclusive territory, called an Area of Primary Responsibility (APR), as an area containing approximately 50,000 single-family homes. The size is determined by the franchisor using the most recent U.S. census data. Franchisees may purchase larger territories at the franchisor's discretion, with an increased initial franchise fee for each additional single-family home over 50,000.
Staffing Notes
MOSQUITO SHIELD requires that during operating hours, the franchised business must be under the direct supervision of one of the franchisee's principals or a designated Operations Manager who has satisfactorily completed the initial training program. All technicians who apply control materials must be licensed to do so and complete the franchisor's initial training program. Additionally, franchisees must have one technician operating in each customized vehicle at all times.
