Financial Health Notes
Lawn Squad Franchising LLC's own financial statements are not provided; instead, the financial health is tied to its parent affiliate, Authority Brands Inc. Authority Brands Inc. reported significant net losses for the past three years, with a net loss of $104.5 million in 2024. It also recorded substantial impairment losses on assets and has long-term debt exceeding $550 million. While auditors provided an unqualified opinion, a valuation allowance of $12 million was established against deferred tax assets in 2024, suggesting some uncertainty regarding future taxable income. Authority Brands Inc. absolutely and unconditionally guarantees Lawn Squad's duties and obligations to its franchisees.
Financing Details
Lawn Squad may, at its discretion, allow franchisees to finance up to 75% of their initial franchise fee and any additional SFDU fees. This financing is typically paid in up to 36 monthly installments with a 12% annual interest rate. Franchisees can prepay the balance without penalty. However, Lawn Squad does not offer this financing for transactions involving brokers or third-party referral sources. Aside from this, Lawn Squad does not provide any other direct or indirect financing to franchisees, nor does it guarantee promissory notes, leases, or other obligations.
