Territory Size Requirements

HomeWell Care Services franchisees receive a territory defined by contiguous zip codes. Each territory must have a population of 30,000 to 40,000 seniors aged 65 and over, and the total population of the territory will not exceed 350,000 people. HomeWell Franchising Inc. uses U.S. Postal Service Q4 2020 zip code definitions and U.S. Census and ACS data from 2017-2021 to determine these territories.

Staffing Notes

HomeWell Care Services requires a Managing Owner to be actively involved full-time in the business, unless this responsibility is delegated to an approved Manager who has successfully completed the initial training. The Managing Owner must supervise if a Manager is unable to perform their duties. Franchisees must also employ a full-time sales professional dedicated to marketing the business to referral sources and building the brand locally; this sales professional cannot be the Managing Owner. Additionally, franchisees should expect to have at least one other full-time employee upon opening. All employees must undergo criminal background checks, maintain required credentials and licenses, and be informed that their activities are exclusively supervised by the franchisee. Certain states may require a nurse or administrator as part of the staff. All employees with access to confidential information must sign a Brand Protection Agreement or Confidentiality Agreement.
