Business Summary

HealthSource Chiropractic clinics offer "progressive rehabilitation" by combining physical therapy and chiropractic services to provide comprehensive solutions for pain relief, restoration of function, and wellness care. HealthSource Chiropractic utilizes cutting-edge technology, such as non-surgical Spinal Decompression therapy and photobiomodulation, to diagnose and treat patients. The clinics are business-to-consumer franchises that aim to restore lost function and make patients pain-free, regardless of whether their pain is chronic or acute. Franchisees can open new start-up clinics or convert existing chiropractic clinics.

Training & Support Program

Franchisor Assistance

HealthSource Chiropractic provides comprehensive assistance to its franchisees both before and after opening. Before a clinic opens, HealthSource Chiropractic designates the Protected Territory, approves the proposed clinic site (which must be at least 1,800 sq ft), approves lease terms, and furnishes prototype plans and specifications for design, layout, equipment, fixtures, and decor. The franchisor also approves final construction plans, identifies required products, equipment, and approved suppliers, and provides access to its Operations Manual. Franchisees receive specifications for the required computer and billing system and participate in an initial training program. The franchisor also reviews and approves advertising materials. After a clinic opens, HealthSource Chiropractic offers ongoing guidance and assistance on products, operational standards, purchasing from approved suppliers, and developing local advertising and promotional programs. It provides support for administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, and employee training procedures. The franchisor continuously updates the Operations Manual with System Standards and allows franchisees to use its Marks and confidential information, offering indemnification for proper Mark usage. HealthSource Chiropractic reviews and approves new suppliers, conducts inspections and evaluations (including through "mystery shopper" services), and reviews and approves all advertising and marketing materials. Franchisees contribute 2% of their gross revenues to an Advertising Fund administered by HealthSource Chiropractic. The franchisor also offers additional, ongoing, and supplemental training programs, including a mandatory annual conference, for which franchisees cover their own wages and travel expenses.

This includes support for purchasing from approved suppliers, developing local advertising programs, establishing administrative and accounting procedures, and conducting employee training programs. The franchisor continuously updates the Operations Manual with System Standards, and franchisees are allowed to use HealthSource Chiropractic's Marks and confidential information, with the franchisor providing indemnification for compliant Mark usage. HealthSource Chiropractic reviews and approves suppliers and acts as an approved supplier for certain products and services. Franchisees and their staff can access additional, ongoing, and supplemental training programs, including mandatory attendance at an annual conference. HealthSource Chiropractic conducts regular inspections and evaluations of clinics, staff, and services, which may involve "mystery shopper" services, to ensure adherence to quality and System standards. All advertising and marketing materials created by franchisees are subject to franchisor review and approval, and franchisees contribute 2% of their gross revenues to an Advertising Fund administered by HealthSource Chiropractic.

Franchise Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

HealthSource Chiropractic seeks candidates who are either individuals licensed to practice or provide chiropractic care, or qualified individuals/entities interested in owning and operating a Clinic Management Business. For Clinic Management Businesses, a "Licensed Provider" (a licensed individual or professional entity authorized to provide chiropractic services) must own and operate the clinical aspects of the clinic. Owners are generally required to actively participate in the day-to-day operation of the franchise, devoting sufficient time, unless an approved on-site general manager is employed. HealthSource Chiropractic also offers multi-unit development opportunities to qualified individuals and entities.

Territory Size Requirements

HealthSource Chiropractic's Protected Territories are defined based on the population of the market, area demographics, and estimated market demand for its franchised products and services. The franchisor typically defines Protected Territories based upon a population of approximately 30,000 to 45,000 persons.

Staffing Notes

HealthSource Chiropractic franchisees are responsible for all aspects of hiring, training, and managing their own employees and independent contractors. All personnel must hold any licenses, certifications, and/or degrees required by law or by the franchisor's Operations Manual. Franchisees, their General Managers (if applicable), and designated staff must satisfactorily complete an initial training program. Employees providing clinical services, such as chiropractors in a Clinic Management Business, must also complete required training, including mandatory attendance at the annual conference. Franchisees must ensure staff maintain a neat appearance, adhere to dress codes, sign confidentiality agreements, and provide prompt, courteous service. HealthSource Chiropractic also requires franchisees to enroll in and maintain designated human resources and payroll services. Franchisees are prohibited from recruiting or hiring employees from other HealthSource Chiropractic locations or affiliates without prior written consent. If operating a Clinic Management Business, a separate Licensed Provider (a licensed chiropractor or professional entity) will own and operate the clinical aspects of the clinic and employ clinical staff.
