To renew, Go Painting franchisees must provide notice between three and six months before their initial agreement expires. They must be in good standing, having faithfully performed all obligations under the original agreement. Renewal also requires the franchisee to refurbish the franchise location and replace any outdated equipment, sign a general release of claims against Go Painting, execute a new franchise agreement reflecting Go Painting's then-current terms (which may differ materially), and pay a $5,000 renewal fee. Go Painting defines its Franchise Marketing Territories using geographical or political boundaries, typically aiming for an area with a population of approximately 250,000 people. Franchisees are required to operate within a 75-mile radius of the designated metropolitan area where their Franchise Marketing Territory is located. Additionally, certain metropolitan areas may have restrictions on the total number of franchisees permitted to operate within them, based on population.
Staffing Notes
Go Painting requires that the individual responsible for the day-to-day operations of the franchise, whether the franchisee, a partner, or a designated general manager, must successfully complete Go Painting's mandatory training program. Any crew leaders within the franchise operations must also complete the required training. Go Painting mandates that employees present a neat and clean appearance, provide friendly, efficient, sober, and courteous service, adhering to specific grooming and training standards, which may include background checks and drug testing.
