To renew a GameTruck franchise, franchisees must sign GameTruck Licensing, LLC's then-current franchise agreement, which may have different terms. They must successfully complete any required re-training, sign a general release, and pay a renewal fee of $7,500. Franchisees must also be in full compliance with their agreements, not have received three or more default notices within the last 24 months, and refurbish or replace their tow vehicle or trailer to meet current standards. Additionally, GameTruck Licensing, LLC must not have decided to withdraw from the franchisee's market, and no reason for termination should exist.

Before opening, GameTruck Licensing, LLC delivers the specially equipped game trailer, provides access to a digital Operations Manual, and offers an initial training program (GameTruck University) for the franchisee and one other authorized manager. After opening, GameTruck Licensing, LLC provides ongoing support through periodic advice and consultation on business operations, defends trademark infringement claims, and manages an advertising fund for system promotion. The franchisor may also offer additional training for new services and may monitor the business and GameCoaches to ensure consistency with the GameTruck system. GameTruck Licensing, LLC also audits business records periodically and provides franchisees with a subdomain on its website for marketing and scheduling. A call center is available for scheduling inquiries, for an additional fee.

Territory Size Requirements

GameTruck Licensing, LLC awards territories that include a minimum of 150,000 single-family households, defined by zip codes. These territories must maintain a contiguous border and encompass thoroughfares where possible. Franchisees can also request a second bordering territory of 150,000 single-family households at no additional cost upon signing, contingent on purchasing and activating a second GameTruck mobile video game theater within 18 months. Franchisees must also meet minimum annual performance standards, calculated as the total number of single-family households in their territory divided by 430 (e.g., 348 annual events for a 150,000 household territory).

Staffing Notes

GameTruck Licensing, LLC requires that each event be managed by a GameCoach, who franchisees are responsible for training to be experts in video games and group entertainment. Initial training is provided for the franchisee and one additional person authorized to act as a manager or Head GameCoach. If the franchisee does not directly operate the business, an approved operating manager must be appointed and successfully complete the initial training program. GameTruck Licensing, LLC can require franchisees to bring additional employees to their training course if they determine the franchisee is unable to train them properly. GameTruck Licensing, LLC also reserves the right to impose minimum, maximum, or required pricing for services.
