Business Summary

Gameday Men's Health operates medical clinics that offer healthcare services to men. These services include hormone replacement, erectile-dysfunction and vitamin wellness therapies, weight management, physicals, and similar non-critical healthcare services, goods, and medications. The business can be operated under a Direct Clinic Ownership (DCO) model, where the franchisee directly owns and operates the clinic, or a Management Services Organization (MSO) model, where the franchisee owns a management firm providing non-medical services to a physician-owned clinic, depending on state laws. Gameday Men's Health clinics may also offer membership plans for certain services.

Corporate History

Ream Franchise Group, LLC, doing business as Gameday Men's Health, was formed on October 26, 2021, as a California limited liability company. Gameday Men's Health began offering franchises in June 2022. The franchisor itself has not operated the type of business offered to franchisees. Its parent company, Gameday Health Management, LLC, founded in December 2017 by Evan Miller (who is also Gameday Men's Health's Member and CEO), started providing non-medical business management services in 2018. From 2020 to June 2023, an affiliate, Gameday Health Partners, LLC, operated these services before Gameday Parent re-acquired them. Another affiliate, ZCB Works, LLC, formed in February 2022, licenses trademarks and other intellectual property to Ream Franchise Group, LLC for sublicensing to franchisees. Gameday Parent currently operates four Gameday Men's Health Businesses.

Financial Health Notes

Ream Franchise Group, LLC's financial statements, while receiving an unqualified opinion from its auditor, raise questions about the franchisor's financial ability to provide services and support to its franchisees. Several state regulatory bodies (California, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, North Dakota, Virginia) have required the franchisor to post surety bonds. This requirement stems from determinations by these states that Gameday Men's Health has not adequately demonstrated sufficient capitalization or that it relies on initial franchise fees to fund its operations.

Financing Details

Gameday Men's Health does not offer any direct or indirect financing to its franchisees, nor does it guarantee any franchisee's notes, leases, or other obligations.

Renewal Conditions

To renew their Gameday Men's Health franchise, franchisees must provide written notice of their intent to renew at least 180 days before the agreement expires. They must be in full compliance with their existing Franchise Agreement, including not being in default, and must complete any required renovations to their clinic. Franchisees are also required to sign the then-current Franchise Agreement, which may have materially different terms from their original agreement, pay a renewal fee, and sign a general release of claims against Gameday Men's Health. Renewal is ultimately subject to Gameday Men's Health's reasonable business judgment.

Training & Support Program

Franchisor Assistance

Gameday Men's Health provides pre-opening assistance to franchisees, including aid in selecting and reviewing the clinic location and lease, providing the operations manual, designating an exclusive territory, furnishing design specifications for the clinic, and outlining requirements for medical equipment and other necessary goods and services. Gameday Men's Health also offers an initial training program and may inspect construction (for a fee). Post-opening, Gameday Men's Health may modify and update its system, assist with grand opening activities, manage brand development fees, provide feedback from computer system data, offer periodic operational guidance, conduct quality control visits (including 'secret shopper' programs), and offer additional training (some mandatory, some optional for a fee). Gameday Men's Health may also hold annual conferences.

Ongoing Support

After opening their Gameday Men's Health clinic, franchisees receive ongoing support from the franchisor. This includes system modifications and updates, coordination of grand opening activities, and administration of brand development fees. Gameday Men's Health provides feedback from data accessed through the franchisee's computer system and may offer periodic advice and guidance on clinic operations. The franchisor conducts quality control visits, which can be announced or unannounced, and utilizes a 'secret shopper' program. Gameday Men's Health may offer additional training, some of which could be mandatory and incur a fee. Franchisees are also required to attend any national or regional meetings or conferences that Gameday Men's Health deems appropriate, and they are responsible for associated fees and travel expenses. Additionally, Gameday Men's Health may provide bulletins, brochures, manuals, and reports on new developments and improvements in healthcare services and clinic operations.

Franchise Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

Gameday Men's Health seeks franchisees who will be hands-on operators, with a Principal Operator or Designated Manager personally participating in and managing the day-to-day operations of the clinic (DCO Model) or the management services (MSO Model). The franchise recommends that franchisees operate their Model directly and on a day-to-day basis. For the DCO Model or for the Medical Professionals in an MSO Model clinic, candidates must possess the education, licenses, certifications, fellowships, and other credentials required by their state to deliver healthcare services to patients, including active DEA registration, maintenance of all licenses in good standing, and passing a background check. Area Developers are expected to develop a minimum of two clinics according to a specified development schedule.

Territory Size Requirements

Gameday Men's Health defines its exclusive territories as an area encompassing the lesser of a three-mile radius or approximately 100,000 people. These territories are based on population-mapping software and are ultimately defined by physical or geographic limitations, ZIP codes, political subdivisions, or other boundaries. The specific shape of the territory is not geometric, and its population may be more or less than 100,000 depending on the geographic definition.

Staffing Notes

Gameday Men's Health requires clinics to hire a sufficient number of Medical Professionals and highly trained staff, such as nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, and physician's assistants, in addition to non-medical staff like receptionists. Under the Direct Clinic Ownership model, the franchisee hires all staff. In the Management Services Organization model, the Medical Professional hires and controls the medical staff, while the franchisee hires staff for non-medical management services. Gameday Men's Health does not set minimum staffing requirements but mandates that franchisees maintain enough staff to serve customers and comply with all applicable laws. All personnel must also complete and maintain necessary medical training and licenses, which are separate from the franchisor's initial training program.
