FilterShine USA, Inc. may offer to finance a portion of the franchise fee, up to $25,000. This financing is at the franchisor's sole discretion and depends on the franchisee's creditworthiness. The financed amount is documented by a Promissory Note, with a repayment term of 2 to 4 years. The applicable interest rate will be specified in the Promissory Note, and there is no penalty for early repayment of monthly installments. FilterShine USA, Inc. does not guarantee lease notes or other obligations, and there are no arrangements for third-party financing through the franchisor.

Renewal Conditions

To renew their franchise agreement, FilterShine USA, Inc. franchisees must be in good standing with the franchisor. They are required to sign a new agreement, which may have materially different terms and conditions at the time of renewal. Franchisees must also update or replace their equipment as currently designated, retain their premises, provide 12 months' advance notice of their intent to renew, and pay a renewal fee that will not exceed 10% of the then-current Initial Fee.

FilterShine USA, Inc. provides comprehensive support to its franchisees. Before opening, FilterShine USA, Inc. reviews and approves the franchisee's lease for an off-site unit, provides criteria for necessary vehicles, supplies, tools, and equipment, and delivers an initial training program focused on Filter Exchange and F.O.G. Management. FilterShine USA, Inc. also offers on-site assistance and guidance, and loans a copy of or grants access to the Confidential Operations Manual. After opening, FilterShine USA, Inc. provides periodic advice and general guidance via telephone, email, and newsletters on various business matters including operations, accounting, services, and marketing. It conducts periodic visits to the franchised business to offer consultation, assistance, and guidance, and may provide written reports with suggested improvements. FilterShine USA, Inc. also evaluates customer service and job performance on-site and offers ongoing training. It approves local, grand opening, and cooperative advertising materials and provides modifications to the Operations Manual. FilterShine USA, Inc. controls the System-wide marketing fund, which franchisees contribute to, and will administer these funds for advertising and promotional purposes.

The franchisor also conducts periodic visits to the franchised business to offer consultation and assistance, evaluating operations and job performance, and may provide written reports with suggested changes. Ongoing training and operations assistance are made available as needed. FilterShine USA, Inc. approves forms of advertising materials for local, grand opening, and cooperative advertising, and provides modifications to the Confidential Operations Manual. Franchisees and their designated managers are required to attend refresher training courses every two years at Franchise Events, not exceeding 4 days annually.

FilterShine USA, Inc. grants franchisees an exclusive business operations zone where no other FilterShine USA, Inc. franchise will be placed, provided the franchisee's agreement is in good standing. For franchisees in New York, the marketing area will contain a population of not less than 25,000 people.

Staffing Notes

FilterShine USA, Inc. requires that the franchised business always operates under the direct, full-time, day-to-day supervision of a designated manager. If the franchisee is an individual, they must serve as this manager. If the franchisee is a corporation or another business entity, the designated manager must retain at least 20% equity ownership of that entity. This designated manager must complete FilterShine USA, Inc.'s initial training within 90 days of appointment and meet satisfactory standards. Additionally, the franchisee may choose to have one assistant attend the initial training at their expense.
