Renewal Conditions
To renew their franchise agreement, FARRELL'S EXTREME BODYSHAPING® franchisees must be in good standing with the franchisor, provide timely written notice of their intent to renew between 6 and 12 months before the initial term ends, and pay the then-current renewal fee (currently $20,000). Franchisees will be required to sign a new franchise agreement that may include materially different terms, such as updated royalty and other fees. They must also ensure their Studio is modernized to meet current brand appearance and functional standards before the renewal term begins, and sign a general release of claims against the franchisor. If a franchisee continues to operate after the initial term expires without signing a new agreement, they become a 'Holdover Franchisee' and must pay double the regular royalty fees until a new agreement is signed or operations cease.
Training & Support Program
Franchisor Assistance
FARRELL'S EXTREME BODYSHAPING® provides several forms of assistance to its franchisees. Before opening, the franchisor approves the site selected by the franchisee, provides access to a confidential Operations Manual online, and offers sample layouts and specifications for Studio design. They also provide initial training for up to two individuals at their designated New Jersey location. After opening, the franchisor may, at its discretion, develop new services and methods, provide periodic advisory assistance, and hold mandatory annual conferences (franchisees pay travel/living expenses, and an optional fee may be charged). For advertising, the franchisor may provide certain materials at no cost and requires franchisees to use their in-house digital marketing agency, ENE, for digital marketing management (including social media ads, PPC campaigns, texting/email messaging) for a monthly fee. For computer systems, franchisees must use the designated ClubReady club management software and QuickBooks Online, with the franchisor providing software support.
