Financial Health Notes
Dog Haus's financial statements show a negative Members' Deficit of $(1,452,363) in 2024 and $(2,019,611) in 2023. While the auditors issued an unqualified opinion on the financial statements, the Hawaii state addendum notes that the estimated initial investment for a franchisee exceeds Dog Haus's stockholder's equity (which is a deficit), indicating that Dog Haus may not have sufficient financial resources to provide comprehensive services or support to franchisees.
Financing Details
Dog Haus does not offer any direct or indirect financing options to its franchisees. Additionally, Dog Haus will not guarantee any notes, leases, or other financial obligations for franchisees.

Territory Size Requirements
Dog Haus grants franchisees a protected territory, typically defined as a 0.5 to 5-mile radius around their approved restaurant location. The exact size of this protected area is determined based on factors like demographics, population size, age and income levels, surrounding retail businesses, road visibility, traffic patterns, and geographical barriers. This protected area ensures Dog Haus will not open or franchise another restaurant within that specific radius.
Staffing Notes
Dog Haus requires franchisees to designate a Principal Owner who dedicates full-time efforts to the restaurant's operations. A General Manager must also be appointed to oversee the business when the Principal Owner is absent. Franchisees are responsible for providing initial, additional, and refresher training for their other employees. Both the Principal Owner and General Manager, as well as other supervisory or managerial staff, must successfully complete the ServSafe Food Safety Certification Program. The Principal Owner and General Manager also need to successfully complete the Certified Beer Server Program.
