Renewal Conditions
To renew, CareDiem Home Care franchisees must notify the franchisor between 12 and 24 months before their current agreement expires. They must not be in default, be current on all payments to the franchisor, its affiliates, and suppliers, and comply with all training requirements. Franchisees also need to renovate their location to meet the franchisor's current standards, secure rights to their premises (or new approved premises), maintain all necessary licenses and permits, and sign the franchisor's then-current form of successor franchise agreement. A successor agreement fee is required, and franchisees and their guarantors must sign a general release. The new agreement may also have materially different terms.
Training & Support Program
Franchisor Assistance
CareDiem Home Care provides extensive support to its franchisees. Before opening, CareDiem designates a territory and helps approve an office location, which can be a home office for the first year before transitioning to a professional commercial space. CareDiem provides information on necessary computer hardware, software, equipment, supplies, and required signage, though franchisees are responsible for procurement. Franchisees receive access to the Operations Manual and participate in a pre-opening training program for owners and the initial agency manager. CareDiem also assists with the initial digital marketing campaign, sets up a sub-site on its website for the franchisee, provides a starter kit of marketing materials, and consults on the opening and operation of the business. During operation, CareDiem continues to advise on business matters, develops and improves the CareDiem System and Operations Manual, offers additional training programs and conferences (some mandatory, some optional, often with fees), and conducts inspections and evaluations of the business. CareDiem manages the Brand Development Fund to promote the brand, approves all advertising materials, and may suggest service pricing. Franchisees are required to use specific accounting and financial reporting software and a designated bookkeeping firm, UniFi, and provide access to their financial records for benchmarking and compliance.

Ongoing Support
CareDiem Home Care provides ongoing support by consulting with franchisees on business operations and problems, and continuously developing and improving the CareDiem System and Operations Manual. Franchisees can attend periodic mandatory and optional refresher training programs, limited to 3 days per person annually, as well as franchisee conferences and annual meetings, for which fees and travel expenses apply. CareDiem also conducts inspections of franchised businesses, evaluates services, and interviews employees and customers to ensure quality standards. CareDiem manages the Brand Development Fund to promote the brand, approves all advertising materials, and may suggest service pricing. Franchisees are required to use specific accounting and financial reporting software and a designated bookkeeping firm, UniFi, and must share data for benchmarking.
Franchise Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile
CareDiem Home Care seeks franchisees who are prepared to operate the business full-time, focusing on the administrative and business aspects rather than directly providing client care. Ideal candidates should be generally familiar with health issues and caretaking to effectively run the business, including conducting client needs assessments and hiring caregivers. Franchisees are expected to actively participate in the direct operation of their business, handling tasks such as marketing to referral sources and clients, recruiting and training staff, and overseeing service provision within their territory. CareDiem values candidates with strong business skills, financial capacity, and good character.

Staffing Notes
CareDiem Home Care franchisees are responsible for all staffing decisions, including recruiting and training caregivers and other employees. Franchisees must employ or retain a qualified Agency Manager who is required to attend and successfully complete the franchisor's training program. While the franchisor trains the Agency Manager, franchisees are solely responsible for training all other employees, including caregivers, to ensure they understand the CareDiem System. The franchisee themselves is expected to handle the administrative and business aspects of the operation, such as hiring caregivers and overseeing service provision.
