Business Summary

CareBuilders At Home operates businesses that provide non-medical in-home care services primarily to senior citizens and disabled persons living at home. These services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, incidental transportation, grooming, assistance with recreational activities, and personal care services for daily living activities such as eating, bathing, walking, and dressing. CareBuilders At Home also offers ancillary services like in-home emergency monitoring, medication management systems, assisted living guidance, and senior placement services. Franchisees may offer private pay "basic medical services" like monitoring vital signs and dispensing medications as permitted by state licensure. The business model involves the franchisee soliciting clients and recruiting private-care personnel, while CareBuilders At Home, LLC employs and pays the salaries of all private-care personnel, also handling all customer billing and collections.

Training & Support Program

Franchisor Assistance

CareBuilders At Home provides comprehensive support to its franchisees. Before opening, the franchisor assists with site selection and approval, identifies necessary operating assets and approved suppliers, provides the Operations Manual, and conducts initial training for up to two people at no extra charge. The franchisor also provides standards for employee qualifications and training. Ongoing assistance includes paying all wages, fringe benefits, and related taxes for in-home care employees, preparing all customer billings and collecting accounts receivable, and providing monthly financial reports. CareBuilders At Home inspects and observes franchised business operations to ensure compliance, actively helps with business development by reviewing contracts, seeking national accounts, and providing staffing leads. Franchisees receive rights to use the CareBuilders At Home trademarks and are required to attend mandatory annual franchisee meetings and periodic refresher training courses, conference calls, and webinars.
