Renewal Conditions
To renew their franchise agreement, Bright Brothers franchisees must provide written notice 12 to 18 months before the current term expires. They need to show they have the right to operate at an approved location, or secure a new one, and complete all required maintenance, remodeling, and updates to the business premises, equipment, hardware, and software to meet current brand standards. Franchisees must also be in good standing, free of breaches under their agreements, and have paid all financial obligations to Bright Brothers and its suppliers. Additionally, they must sign Bright Brothers' then-current franchise agreement (which may have different terms), meet current training requirements, sign a general release, and pay a renewal fee that is 50% of the then-current initial franchise fee.

Bright Brothers defines its territories based on a population of approximately 200,000 people and a minimum of 50,000 Qualified Households (households earning $100,000 or more annually). Franchisees can also purchase up to an additional 10,000 Qualified Households per territory. The boundaries of these territories can be described using zip codes, streets, natural or man-made landmarks, or county lines.
Staffing Notes
Bright Brothers requires the franchisee, or at least one of their principals, to dedicate their full-time attention to managing and operating the business. The franchised business must always have at least one individual on staff who has successfully completed Bright Brothers' Initial Training Program. If a Designated Manager leaves, a replacement must be trained within 30 days and also cannot hold other employment. Franchisees are also responsible for training all other employees according to Bright Brothers' standards.
