Art of Drawers franchisees can renew their franchise agreement for up to two additional 10-year terms if they meet certain conditions. They must notify Art of Drawers in writing between 60 and 180 days before their current term expires. Franchisees must be in good standing, meaning they are not in default of their franchise agreement or any other agreements with Art of Drawers or its affiliates, and must not have received more than three separate written notices of default from Art of Drawers in the 12 months prior to their renewal notice. They are required to sign Art of Drawers' then-current form of franchise agreement and all related ancillary documents, which may have substantially different terms and conditions, including potentially higher royalty and advertising contributions. A general release of all known and unknown claims against Art of Drawers and its affiliates must be signed by the franchisee and each of its owners. Art of Drawers franchisees must also pay a non-refundable renewal fee of $10,000 for each Art of Drawers Business they renew. Furthermore, franchisees must undertake any necessary renovations, refurbishments, and modernizations to their storage area and/or office, as well as their equipment and inventory, to meet Art of Drawers' then-current system standards for a newly opened Art of Drawers Business, all at their own expense. This might include a requirement to maintain a commercial or shared office space. Finally, franchisees must comply with any additional reasonable actions that Art of Drawers may require.

Before opening an Art of Drawers Business, Art of Drawers provides an initial training program and loans the franchisee a confidential Franchise Operations Manual. Art of Drawers also offers materials and consultation for a grand opening program if the franchisee chooses to participate. Art of Drawers does not assist with locating the franchisee's storage facility or office. During the operation of an Art of Drawers Business, Art of Drawers informs franchisees of mandatory operating standards, specifications, and procedures. It provides three days of on-site and field support for setting up the warehouse or storage space. Upon reasonable request, Art of Drawers offers advice on business operations, given during regular business hours through written materials, electronic media, or telephone. Art of Drawers may provide additional training for newly hired personnel, refresher courses, remedial training, or advanced training, for which additional fees may apply. Franchisees are allowed to continue using confidential materials, including the Franchise Operations Manual and Art of Drawers Marks, and receive a list of designated and approved suppliers. Optionally, Art of Drawers may modify the system (including new products or techniques), make periodic visits to assist with operations (reimbursable expenses and fees if requested), maintain and administer a Brand Fund, hold national or regional conferences, and establish minimum and maximum resale prices for marketing programs. If Art of Drawers provides media buying services, a 15% fee of the media purchase price applies.
