Renewal Conditions

To renew their ActiKare, Inc. franchise agreement, franchisees must be in full compliance with the current agreement. They are required to complete any new training and refresher programs deemed necessary by the franchisor at no additional cost. Franchisees must also sign the franchisor's then-current form of franchise agreement for area director franchisees, which may contain materially different terms and conditions, including those related to territory and royalties. Additionally, they must sign a general release for any and all claims against ActiKare, Inc. and its affiliates, and pay a renewal fee of $250 prior to renewal.

Franchisor Assistance

ActiKare, Inc. offers comprehensive support to its franchisees. Before opening, the franchisor provides a Franchise Package, lends copies of its Franchisee Manual and Marketing Plan, and conducts initial training for the franchisee and up to two additional people. This training includes 10 hours of web-based pre- and post-training and 2-3 days of corporate training at the Tampa, Florida headquarters, online, or a mutually agreed-upon location. After opening, ActiKare, Inc. provides unlimited telephone support during business hours, conducts conference calls on sales techniques, bookkeeping, performance standards, and advertising programs, and issues updates to its System Standards through the Manuals. The franchisor also maintains an Internet website that lists all ActiKare locations and provides a link to each franchisee's customized website page (Sitelet). Franchisees are also provided with a business email account. Following initial training, dedicated support is given for pre-opening phases such as rate setting, establishing marketing campaigns, caregiver recruitment, role-playing, and back-office setup.
